Samir is an outsider. He’s Arab living in rural France and he’s still recovering from the death of his lover. Oh, and he’s gay. That’s three strikes already against him. He befriends Quentin, a young man celebrating the publishing of his first novel. There is quite a bit of sexual tension between them, but Quentin is more a cock tease than potential mate. After a while he pushes Samir away for good and leaves the small town for the big city and success that everyone believes is coming to him. Also left behind are Quentin’s girlfriend, Julie, and best friend, Jimmy. With Quentin away, they decide to play — with each other. Once again, Samir is the one left out.
